Outliers start 2020 against Mustangs

The Utah Outliers will start 2020 by taking on their state rival, the Ogden Mustangs. This will be the first game for the Outliers in 2020 as the players recently returned to practice this weekend from a 13-day break. The Outliers enter the game against Ogden with a record of 17-9-0-1 which has them in second place in the Northwest Division.

The last time the Outliers and Mustangs met was on December 14th, where the Mustangs clinched the victory with a shot to the top right corner of the net on a two-on-one play in overtime. The Outliers have yet to solve the OT puzzle against the Mustangs as they have lost the past 6 straight OT contests whether 5v5 in playoffs or 3v3 in regular-season play.

Tonight's contest should be another exciting game with a lot of fast-paced action and physical play. The Outliers will look to continue playing hard defense and attempt to shut the door on the Mustangs offense while hoping to convert on some timely scoring chances themselves.

The game tonight will be played at the Ice Sheet in Ogden at 7:30 PM.
