Outliers Lose in Overtime At Nationals

by Website Admin

The Utah Outliers’ season came to an abrupt end at the USPHL Nationals in Utica, NY on Saturday. The team was defeated in overtime by a score of 5-4 by the Florida Eels. Despite outshooting Florida by a margin of 54-26, Utah could not find the goal it needed in overtime to advance.

Although the club fell short of its ultimate goal of winning a national title, the season was full of milestones and records for the organization. The team won 43 regular season games and collected 90 points to capture a first-place finish in the Mountain Division.

In the Mountain Division playoffs, the club swept the Idaho Falls Spud Kings and the Ogden Mustangs to 3-peat as Mountain Division champions!

On behalf of the organization, we want to congratulate all of our players for a great season and for representing the program in a first-class manner. We would like to also thank all of our volunteers, sponsors, billets, and fans for another amazing season of Outliers hockey!
