NCDC PLAYOFF FORMAT

After completing the 2023-24 NCDC regular season, the Utah Outliers will turn their attention to preparing for the playoffs. Having secured second place in the Mountain Division with 76 points, the Outliers have earned home-ice advantage in Round 1 of the playoffs. 

The playoff matchups for Round 1 of the Mountain division are set and will take place beginning on March 29th in a best-of-five series. The playoff format has been determined by the regular season standings. The #1 ranked Ogden Mustangs will play the #4 seed Idaho Falls Spud Kings and the #2 ranked Utah Outliers will play the #3 seed Provo Predators. 

The best-of-five Mountain Division final is slated to begin April 12th with the two winners of Round 1 advancing to compete for the Mountain Division title and a trip to the East Coast to play for the NCDC Dineen Cup. The Mountain Division Final will begin at the home rink of the highest-seeded team that wins Round 1 of their playoff series.

The Dineen Cup will run April 26-28 with the winner of the New England vs. Atlantic series hosting the Mountain Division champion in a best-of-three series and the winner being crowned the 2024 NCDC Dineen Cup Champion.

  2. Utah Outliers (76 PTS)
  3. Provo Predators (62 PTS)
  4. Idaho Falls Spud Kings (54 PTS)
  5. Pueblo Bulls (53 PTS) *eliminated from playoffs 
  6. Rock Springs Grizzlies (23 PTS) *eliminated from playoffs
