Outliers Fall on the Road to Grand Junction
Grand Junction, CO- The Utah Outliers hockey club faltered on Friday night in Grand Junction in an 8-2 drubbing at the hands of the River Hawks.
Grand Junction waited until the late moments of the first period to jump on the board, but the home crew strung together three goals in the last four minutes. By the time the Outliers wound up on the scoresheet, the River Hawks commanded a 7-0 lead.
Despite the scoring disparity, forward Tyler Kedzo kept up his dominant streak. The Edmonton-native drove in both a goal and an assist, marking back-to-back multi-point games. That makes nine such performances this season from the N.C.D.C. second-year.
Kedzo’s helper arrived in the second period, contributing to another strong run: forward Tommy Enrietto cruised into back-to-back nights with a goal, giving the 21-year-old four tallies on the season in just 15 games.
The Outliers return home for the final three matchups of the season, starting on Wednesday night with another chapter in the in-state rivalry against the Ogden Mustangs. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. M.D.T. at the Black Rock Mountain Events Center. Tickets can be purchased online at utahoutliers.com
